Through our experience in dentistry we witnessed a missing solution in the marketplace. Along with many of our fellow dentists, we see signs of disrupted sleep every day. We have chosen to expand our expertise to include oral sleep appliances and better serve our current patients and welcome new patients to our office. In 2021, mid pandemic, Dr. Hill Lindsey wanted to get creative and come up with a way to offer her patients more services. She was introduced to Dr. Emily Stopper through a friend and colleague. Dr. Stopper treats obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients primarily in her dental office every day. She is a board certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Hill Lindsey began meeting with her weekly for an intense 6 month class training 6 dentists in the class to treat patients with OSA. In the course we built a foundational knowledge of the disease and learned the life threatening effects it has on our patients. We also were able to review sleep studies and break down each study line by line in order to better educate our patients. Lastly, we were exposed to the different treatment options with a focus on the oral appliance therapy option. After the course, Kelli Pounds and Dr. Hill Lindsey continued to meet with Dr. Stopper for about one year. We then did a work study week in her office in North Carolina to apprentice treating patients alongside Dr. Stopper. Dr. Hill Lindsey is currently taking further education to achieve her Diplomate status in the next one to two years in OSA and she couldn’t be more excited to share this with you.

DR. ASHLEY HILL LINDSEY
LEAD DENTIST, DMD
Dr. Ashley Hill completed her Bachelors of Science degree in biology at the University of Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude. She attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia, now known as The Dental College of Georgia, graduating in 2010.
As a dentist, Dr. Hill Lindsey is committed to be ever evolving and growing in her profession in order to provide her patients with the best possible care incorporating modern technology. She completes at least 30 hours of continuing education each year, and recently completed training emphasizing facial injectables and CEREC crowns. Dr. Hill Lindsey has also completed advanced training in oral surgery, BOTOX and Invisalign treatment. She is a member of the Georgia Dental Association.
Outside of the office Dr. Hill Lindsey's hobbies include being a wife and mother, music, cycling and hiking with her dog, Chloe. Several members of her family are UGA graduates, making Athens a very special place to her family.
KELLI POUNDS
LEAD DENTAL ASSISTANT
Kelli has 28 years in the dental field as a Dental Assistant. She started out working as an assistant “on the job training.” She attended Gwinnett Technical College, completing her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certificate in 2002. Three years ago she started the Sleep Apnea journey with Dr. Hill Lindsey and Jennifer Read. It is the best feeling in this world to know you are “Saving Lives One Breath At A Time.”
Kelli loves taking the time to educate her patients not only on why sleep is very important but also why it's important to their overall health. She is excellent at showing patients how we can help them get better sleep and STOP snoring with a Sleep Appliance. Not only is she always with you throughout your process she is also your “Cheerleader.” Kelli always takes the time to answer any questions any patient might have and to make sure the process is comfortable. Kelli also knows what poor sleep feels like as a Sleep Apnea patient herself and wears a Sleep Appliance every night.
Kelli and her husband Wayne are high school sweethearts and have been married for 26 years. They love traveling, wood working, spending time with their son Sam, his wife Casey and granddaughter Haven. They also have two fur babies Critter and DeeOhGee!
JENNIFER READ
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Jennifer attended the University of Georgia and has over 28 years of dental experience. She is knowledgeable in both front and back office duties, having previously served as a dental assistant, receptionist, and office manager; and is always happy to flow between the two to help out as needed.
She is determined to help everyone achieve better health through better quality sleep. Having personal experience with sleep apnea with some of her own family members and has seen how a sleep appliance can make a difference in someone’s quality of sleep.
She goes above and beyond to ensure our patients feel welcome and comfortable with us. Jennifer and her husband Troy have been married for over 30 years. They enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with their two daughters, and their husbands and children.
